We are seeking a highly skilled program manager to oversee one or more of our national security programs.  Be part of a fast-paced team that rapidly and affordably designs, develops and delivers cutting edge advancements in space and ground systems.  Our Team is seeking motivated self-starter type personnel to take on a multitude of different activities to drive delivery of advanced component technologies and space systems.

You will be required to work closely with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of space systems capabilities to demanding customers within cost, schedule, and performance constraints.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for the execution of space and ground system projects from concept to operations, delivering on-time and within budget
  • Establish close working relationship with U.S Government customers to understand requirements and ultimately to ensure the customer’s satisfaction with program outcomes
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project budgets, integrated master schedules, contract strategies, and resource projections for space and ground system projects
  • Apply modern program management and systems engineering tools to guide program execution and accountability across the team
  • Creatively apply working knowledge of U.S. Government contracting to anticipate and recommend contract solutions to the customer and BlackVe contracting staff
  • Work closely with contracting, finance, accounting, legal, security, and cybersecurity staff to ensure program satisfies all relevant legal and compliance policies and standards
  • Develop and deliver reporting and decision briefings for BlackVe senior leadership including program baseline approvals, program management reviews, and milestone gate reviews
  • Author, organize, and deliver written reports and presentation briefings for the customer
  • Develop and deliver formal and informal proposals and white papers to Government customers as needed to expand program scope

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of direct program management experience
  • Experience managing technical programs within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
  • Hold current or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with space and ground systems development, test, launch, and operations
  • Strong proficiency in developing and managing complex program requirements, risks, budgets, and schedules
  • Exceptional ability to bring focus, order, organization, and clear direction to complex projects and dynamic situations
  • Exceptional ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all skill levels and positional seniority
  • Direct experience with and working knowledge of U.S. government contract execution
  • Experience with control of sensitive and confidential information as required by company standards

Location and Travel Requirements

This hybrid position is based in the Washington DC Metro Area with weekly reporting to locations in either Chantilly, VA or Reston, VA with occasional travel to other company locations and partner facilities.
