You'll own the software development process for a combined team of embedded and ground software engineers, run sprint-based delivery, and serve as the voice of software on interdisciplinary program teams. This means you're in architecture discussions in the morning, unblocking your team at standup, and briefing program leadership on progress and risks in the afternoon.
BlackVe is looking for a Ground Software Systems Architect to lead the design, integration, and delivery of the ground software system behind our commercial space domain awareness (SDA) platform. Success in this role depends as much on architecture, interface definition, and vendor coordination as it does on writing code. The ideal candidate sits at the intersection of systems engineering and software engineering: someone who can translate mission needs into concrete requirements, define and validate interfaces between components, evaluate and integrate commercial and open-source tooling, and stay hands-on enough to guide implementation. You'll be a central technical voice, working across internal software, engineering, and program teams, external vendors, and customers.

BlackVe is looking for an on-site DevOps Engineer with joint SysAdmin responsibilities, who keeps our software and engineering environments running securely, reliably, and in compliance with the rules that come with government work. You’ll own the day-to-day health of our Linux and Windows systems, our CI/CD pipelines, administer the infrastructure our engineers depend on, and be a hands-on steward of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) across the environments we operate. You’ll work closely with our existing IT and security teams to implement and maintain our IT infrastructure, making sure that infrastructure is available to our engineering and software teams when it’s needed and locked down the way our government customers require.
BlackVe is looking for a principal software engineer to support flight software development on the MAESTRO program and beyond. This person should have a solid grasp of embedded software development, software architectures, real time systems, and software development best practices.
BlackVe is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, integration, and testing of spacecraft and space-related hardware. This position will lead complex mechanical and structural engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle—from requirements definition and preliminary design through fabrication, integration, qualification, and delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in structural analysis, mechanical design, materials selection, and environmental testing. This individual will work closely with systems, electrical, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to develop reliable, high-performance solutions that meet demanding mission requirements. This is a fully on-site position based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We are seeking an all-around, cleared Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our technology infrastructure in Albuquerque, NM. In this fully on-site role, you will be the core technical driver for our local operations. You will balance direct help desk support for on-site personnel with hands-on management of our physical on-premises server rooms, backup architectures, Microsoft Government Cloud (GCC/GCC High) environments, and classified networks. This position also takes full ownership of hardware/software asset lifecycle tracking, company phone program execution, and maintaining technical readiness for CMMC compliance.
